September 26, 2025

Three inspiring leaders are ready to make a big impact on the lives of our students as the newest directors on the George Brown College Foundation Board.

This month, the Foundation welcomed Paul Trudel, Chief People Officer and Senior Vice President of Marketing at EllisDon; Sean Delsnider, a sustainability and technology leader and strategic advisor; and Julian Franklin, Founder and Principal of the Franklin Management Group and George Brown alumnus, to the board.

"Paul, Sean, and Julian bring not only strategic insight but also lived experience that aligns with our mission," said Foundation President Dr. Cindy Gouveia. "Their leadership will help us deepen our impact and foster inclusive, innovative educational opportunities for all learners."

For over 40 years, the George Brown College Foundation has been a transformative force in students' lives and in the growth and direction of the college, having raised more than $100 million since its inception.

With an expanded board of directors, the Foundation is ready to increase its impact. Franklin, a longtime advocate for equity in marketing and media, said his appointment represents a "full circle" moment.

"It's an honour to help give back to the same community that gave me my start," he said. "I look forward to supporting students through meaningful partnerships and inclusive pathways to success."

Delsnider brings leadership in environmental, social and governance (ESG) and decarbonization.

"I'm proud to join the Foundation's Board and support real-world learning pathways that build a more inclusive and sustainable future," he said.

Trudel stands ready to support the next generation of leaders with his expertise in people strategy and brand development.

"I'm inspired by the work being done to expand access to education and am eager to contribute to initiatives that help students thrive," he said.
