CAMOSUN COLLEGE
Camosun College named one of BC's top employers for 2026

February 11, 2026

Camosun College has once again been named one of BC's Top Employers in 2026 for its commitment to creating a supportive and enriching work environment for approximately 1,400 employees, including faculty, support staff and administration.

Camosun College is one of BC's Top Employers 2026

This is the second year in a row that Camosun College has been recognized as one of the top employers. This special designation recognizes the top 100 British Columbia employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.

"Being named as on of the top employers in B.C. recognizes the people that make Camosun exceptional."

- Dr. Lane Trotter, President, Camosun College

"We are proud to once again be recognized as one of the top employers in B.C.," says Dr. Lane Trotter, president of Camosun College. "Camosun is comprised of incredible employees who demonstrate dedication and support to students, the college community and each other."

"Being named as on of the top employers in B.C. recognizes the people that make Camosun exceptional," adds Lane. "Every day, I see employees going above and beyond for students, the college community and for each other. We've built something rare here, a place where students, faculty and staff can grow, learn, and succeed together."

The key reasons that led to Camosun College's selection as one of the top employers are:

  • Camosun College invites employees to give back to the community by encouraging their participation in the selection of charities the organization supports (as well as providing two to three paid days off to volunteer)
  • Camosun College helps employees plan confidently for the future with retirement planning assistance and generous employer contributions to a defined benefit pension plan -- additionally, employees nearing retirement can gradually reduce their hours to help ease the transition
  • Camosun College offers a health spending account ($500 per year) as part of its benefits plan as well as coverage for mental health care, to $3,000 annually for related practitioners

BC's Top Employers, now in its 21st edition, is an annual competition organized by Mediacorp Canada Inc., which also organises the annual competitions for Canada's Top 100 Employers, who every year recognises companies that excel in recruitment and retention.
