On the May 6, 2026, Regular Council Meeting, Mountain View County Council was pleased to present the 2026 Olds College Bursary Award to this year's recipient, Austin Nixon.
The annual bursary is awarded to a local rural student attending Olds College to encourage and support agricultural-based education and continued learning among County residents. By supporting students in their academic pursuits, the County aims to empower residents to make lasting, meaningful contributions to local agriculture and their communities. Each year, the Olds College Awards Selection Committee reviews and selects the recipient based on County criteria.
Austin is currently in his first year of the Agricultural & Heavy Equipment diploma program. Congratulations, Austin!
