NIAGARA COLLEGE OF APPLIED ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY
Two new reasons to raise a glass to the NC Teaching Winery

November 30, 2017

When it comes to award wins at the Niagara College Teaching Winery, the apple doesn't fall far from the vines.

The Teaching Winery, based at the College's Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus, was celebrated with new awards this month for its wine and hard cider. Its 2013 Prodigy Icewine won Best in Show Dessert Wine at the 95th Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Wine Competition, and its Cider 101 won a gold medal at the United States Open Cider Championship.

Steve Gill, general manager of Niagara College's Teaching Winery and Teaching Brewery, said that he is proud of the staff and students who are at the core of the teaching winery's successes.

"These awards are a testament to the high quality of education we provide and we hope they cultivate a passion for excellence in our students," he said.
