NOVA SCOTIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE
NSCC enrolment remains steady for 2021-22

October 13, 2021

A total of 10,101 students were enrolled in certificate, diploma, advanced diploma and graduate certificate programs at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) campuses across the province as of October 1 the new annual date for the College's official milestone enrolment count.

"We are pleased to welcome more than ten thousand students to NSCC, the vast majority of them back on campus. This has been another exceptional year as we continue to work within a global pandemic environment. Together with our students, we are committed to protecting the health and safety of our community and delivering an excellent applied learning experience." says NSCC Academic Vice President Anna Burke.

Over the course of the full academic year, it is anticipated that NSCC will welcome over 18,000 students through the College's full suite of 2021-22 offerings. This encompasses apprenticeship, continuing education, customized training and continuous intake.

The College's 2021-22 program plan allowed for the delivery of 130+ program offerings, which match the needs and demands of the province's rapidly changing economy.

Burke adds the College "will continue to place the safety of our community and the quality of our programming at the heart of our decision-making and planning."

NSCC conducts a follow up survey with our graduates each year and those results show that 82% are employed, most in their field of study, with 94% of those employed living and working in Nova Scotia. These students are living the mission of the College: through education and innovation, they're growing the province's economy and quality of life.

Offers of admission for 2022-23 academic year will begin in early-November. Applicants are encouraged to apply early to increase the likelihood of securing their program of choice.
