NorQuest College has won the award for Best Programming from the Learning Resources Network (LERN) for two professional continuing education certificate programs.
LERN recognized the Supply Chain and Business Analysis Professional Certificates for innovation in the field of continuing education and serving communities, noting success in making non-credit programming welcoming for international and domestic students through flexible delivery and increased opportunities to access programming.
"NorQuest aims to make workforce-relevant education accessible to learners," said Carolyn Campbell, President and CEO of NorQuest College. "It is an honour to be recognized by LERN for our work developing strong industry partnerships, to the ultimate benefit of learners. These professional certificates were a new product for us launched to a new market in a pandemic year, and the success that we have already achieved allows us to welcome more learners to NorQuest and build the pipeline of talent for today and the future."
New continuing education credentials
Professional certificates are a new credential for NorQuest that enable learners to prepare for new careers and seek industry designations that will set them apart in the job market. Through industry partnership, professional certificates align economic recovery with talent development. These programs are an innovative solution to shrinking public investment in post-secondary education that generate new revenue and increase awareness locally and across the world by producing industry-trained professionals.
"The NorQuest program was excellent," said LERN President William A. Draves. "New professional certificates offer learners the opportunity to prepare for industry certifications in selected professions. This was new. They are open to both domestic and international learners. The flexibility of the programs allows them to increase access, reach new markets, and increase their enrolments and revenue."
LERN is the largest association in continuing education in the world, serving over 800 organizations throughout the United States and Canada. LERN receives over 100 nominations each year for their 17 international awards.
