As of January 1, 2023, Keyano College has been granted the maximum licensure available by the Alberta Government to deliver the Health Care Aide Program.
Nationally there is a need for Health Care Aide workers, who are a vital part of the healthcare system.
The College delivered the program to its first cohort in January 2022, which was subject to a provincial review. The first cohort review was completed in October, and the College was granted the maximum license available commencing on January 1, 2023, and completing December 31, 2027. Having the maximum license demonstrates the College's commitment to Wood Buffalo Region and to quality health care.
