District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1) has successfully modernized the electrical systems across its 28 school facilities through a strategic partnership with CircuitIQ, a leader in innovative power mapping solutions.
Faced with the challenge of updating aging infrastructure to meet current safety standards and improve energy management, DSB1 engaged CircuitIQ to conduct comprehensive power mapping of their schools. This collaboration provided the board with comprehensive circuit mapping and streamlined reporting. As a result, DSB1 has achieved significant improvements in safety compliance, operational efficiency, and cost savings.
Maintenance teams now have immediate access to precise circuit data, reducing time and resources spent on electrical issues. Additionally, optimized power systems are expected to yield long-term energy savings and decrease emergency service calls.
Lesleigh Dye, Director of Education at DSB1, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, "First and foremost, it's about safety. When I think about the staff coming into their buildings each day, our students, our families, that I know we've done everything possible to eliminate, potentially an electrical fire is really beneficial and helpful."
