LearnForwardPeel is Peel District School Board's (PDSB) new continuing education storefront dedicated to igniting the professional learning of educators. The online offerings provide Ontario teachers with a robust selection of in-person and online Additional Qualifications (AQ) courses accredited by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
To provide increased support for participants, courses are often delivered by two specialized PDSB educators. Each course is crafted to empower educators to excel in areas such as special education, literacy and mathematics pedagogy, leadership, and innovative teaching practices. The storefront offers a selection of courses including First Nations, Métis and Inuit Studies, Integration of Information & Computer Technology (AI Focus), French as a Second Language and more.
By integrating rigorous data analysis, LearnForwardPeel enhances educators' capacity to deeply understand curriculum, refine their instructional core, and foster a profound knowledge of the students in their care. With an emphasis on experiential learning, educators and education professionals can apply their learnings in real-world contexts, thereby enriching the educational experience for every student. The goal is to equip education professionals with the skills to create transformative learning environments, where inclusivity fuels every interaction.
By striving for excellence, educators positively impact the lives of their students. LearnForwardPeel provides the pathway to elevate educators' leadership credentials and enrich their careers in education. Registration is open to all OCT educators.
