District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1) is proud to launch its new 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, a roadmap that will guide the Board's work and initiatives over the next four years.
The plan was developed through extensive engagement with staff, students, families, and community partners.
"This plan is our shared commitment to the students, families, staff, and communities we serve," said Cindy Pye-Reasbeck, Chair of the Board. "On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to thank each person who shared their ideas, thoughts, and feedback through the engagement phase. This Strategic Plan reflects your voices and aspirations."
The Strategic Plan focuses on three key priorities:
- Achieve: Upholding high expectations in diverse learning and working environments.
- Belong: Building inclusive communities where all feel supported and valued.
- Create: Fostering collaboration, innovation, and skill development in all learners.
Each priority is supported by three strategic actions to guide decision-making, measure progress, and strengthen impact.
"Our students deserve every opportunity to discover their strengths, pursue their passions, and prepare for a future full of possibilities," said Lesleigh Dye, Director of Education. "This Strategic Plan is our roadmap to achieving that, together."
