Since joining the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board at the end of August, I have learned so much about the incredible work happening in our system. I am honoured to share this annual report on behalf of the former Director of Education, Frances Bagley.
Last year continued to be one of growth for SMCDSB. Enrolment continued to rise, and our students continued to develop in both their learning and their faith. The commitment of our staff and the curiosity and engagement of our students are at the heart of everything we do.
Our vision - Our Faith. Our Students. Our Future. - guides our work every day. It reminds us to create learning environments where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired. This report shares just some of the ways our schools brought that vision to life in 2024/2025.
Grounded in our school year theme, Faithful Steps, Hopeful Journeys, we also continued learning about the traditional territories where we live, work, learn, play, and pray.
