St. Luke Students Explore Future Pathways at Career Day

May 11, 2026

St. Luke Catholic Elementary School once again connected classroom learning to real-world experiences during its annual Career Day.

Students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 participated in a series of rotating sessions, hearing directly from community presenters about their careers, educational journeys, and the skills needed for success. The day encouraged students to reflect on their own interests and begin thinking about future possibilities.

This year's presenters represented a wide range of professions, including a cyber security specialist, nurse, optometrist, police officers (including a K9 unit), firefighter, mechanic, health practitioner, lawyer, actuary, funeral director, financial entrepreneur, accountant, mental health nurse, and Bright Run team leader, along with members of the clergy.

Through engaging presentations and thoughtful questions, students gained valuable insight into both the opportunities and responsibilities that come with different career paths.

St. Luke's Career Day continues to be a meaningful opportunity to inspire students, broaden their horizons, and remind them that their unique gifts can lead to many different futures.

A heartfelt thank you to all presenters for sharing their time, experience, and guidance with our students.
