Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Mme Dorice de Champlain as the Principal of Maryview School effective August 26, 2026. Dorice brings a distinguished 34-year career in education to this role, including 28 years in school administration.

Her leadership journey spans rural and urban settings and includes extensive experience in Pre-K, Kindergarten, Elementary, and K-9 school environments. While her career has been diverse, she has spent the past 17 years as a dedicated leader within the RDCRS community, previously serving as Principal at École Our Lady of the Rosary, École Mother Teresa School, École Camille J. Lerouge School, and St. Martin de Porres School.
Throughout her administrative career, Dorice has developed significant expertise in instructional coaching and school community development. By identifying at-risk students early and implementing effective supports, she has consistently fostered inclusive environments that promote measurable academic growth.
Dorice's background in early intervention and second language acquisition is a significant asset. Her expertise in developmental milestones ensures that the school's youngest learners receive the specialized support necessary to thrive from the very start.

Dorice looks forward to joining the Maryview School community and serving its Pre-K through Grade 5 programs within a welcoming, innovative, and Christ-centered environment.
