The Good Spirit School Division Board of Education announced the appointment of Mr. Quintin Robertson to the position of Director of Education, effective October 1, 2016. Mr. Robertson currently serves as the Acting Director of Education for Good Spirit.
"We are pleased and congratulate Mr. Robertson on behalf of the Board," said Mrs. Lois Smandych, Board Chairperson. "Quintin brings with him a deep passion for students and the desire to ensure all students are provided with the tools required to create their own bright futures."
Mr. Robertson first brought his expertise to Good Spirit in August 2010 as the Superintendent of Student Services. Following three successful years in this role, he advanced to the position of Deputy Director and, in addition to his responsibilities of Student Services, he was instrumental in developing and implementing many key areas including the 5 Year Professional Development Continuum, the Outcome Based Report Card and the division's strategic plan. "I am both humbled and honored to be given the opportunity to serve the Good Spirit School Division as the Director of Education. I received my K to 12 education in the division and my children are attending Good Spirit School Division schools. I have roots in the region and I am extremely motivated and committed to the success of all of our students and staff. Together, we can ensure our vision of Learning Without Limits Achievement For All is actualized."
