The Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Mr. Roger Hall has accepted the position of Secretary-Treasurer, who will begin his new role June 1, 2017.
Mr. Hall is currently employed as the Assistant Secretary-Treasurer with Wolf Creek. He brings over 30 years experience in financial management and more specifically almost 20 years loyal service providing exemplary financial support to the jurisdiction. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and holds a Certified General Accountant (CGA) Designation.

I have had a tremendously rewarding career in Wolf Creek Public Schools over the past 20 years and I look forward to the opportunities this new role will provide. As Secretary-Treasurer, Mr. Hall will be responsible for the overall financial administration of the Division and all of its schools, including banking operations, budget advice and training. He will work collaboratively in order to optimize financial operations for maximum student advantage; and coordinate timely financial reports to the Board. Providing advice and recommendations on matters affecting corporate services, transportation, maintenance and capital projects is also key. His role will provide support to the Board and Superintendent; and an appropriate balance between central and site-based decision making.

Roger and his wife Gail have one daughter, MacKenzie, who is in her first year of a Masters program. Outside of work, being active is an important part of life with such activities as hiking, running, or crossfit. In addition, taking the opportunity to travel and experience different location is an important consideration outside of work.
Wolf Creek Public Schools serves approximately 7,500 students that covers 5944 square kilometres and is located on both sides of the Queen Elizabeth II Highway (Hwy 2) midway between Calgary and Edmonton. The City of Red Deer is our closest urban center.
