LRSD is excited to announce that the 2018 City budget will fund two grants for major projects that will benefit our students and the St. Vital community.
The City is providing a $500,000 grant in addition to the $1.4 million the LRSD Board has already allocated to expanding Collège Jeanne-Sauvé. This funding will go toward building an indoor and outdoor community theatre space as well as expanding the cafeteria and commons.
The City is also allocating $700,000 for creating a rubberized running track behind Victor Mager School for students and community members. The four-lane, 400-metre track will be the second full-length, rubberized outdoor running track in the city and the first in St. Vital!
We are thankful to continue our partnership with City councillor Brian Mayes. His dedication and work has been significant in the growth of LRSD and the St. Vital community.
