It is with mixed emotions that we share the resignation of Alanna Cameron, Secretary Treasurer effective December 21, 2018. Alanna has accepted the position of Secretary Treasurer with the North Okanagan-Shuswap School District (Salmon Arm) and will assume her new role in January 2019.
Alanna joined Coast Mountains School District in December 2003 in the position of Accountant. She rose to the position of Director of Finance in June 2009 before assuming the role of Acting Secretary Treasurer in October 2010. Alanna was appointed to the position of Secretary Treasurer in November 2011, a position she has held until present.
Coast Mountains School District extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Alanna for her long-term service, and for the significant and valuable contributions made over the past 15 years, in moving the school district forward with the importance of focusing district decisions on what is best for the success of our learners.
We commend Alanna for the many successful and innovative business initiatives and projects achieved under her guidance and vision yielding tremendous benefits both in the short-term and long-term for the school district. Alanna's extensive experience, effective leadership and expertise will be sadly missed.
The school district is now actively seeking a Secretary Treasurer and will conduct a Canada wide search beginning this week.
