Appointment of Geraldine Lawlor to the position of Director of Instruction - Graduation & Innovation

The Board of Education for Coast Mountains School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Geraldine Lawlor to the position of Director of Instruction -Graduation & Innovation effective August 1, 2019.

Currently serving as Principal at Mount Elizabeth Middle/Secondary School, Geraldine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, a Bachelorof Education degreewith concentrations in Chemistry and Biology, and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

Geraldine brings more than 27 years of experience to the role of Director of Instruction -Graduation & Innovationhaving served in the positions of Teacher, Vice Principal and Principal in Mount Elizabeth Middle/Secondary School and Kitimat City High School.

She has demonstrated exemplary leadership in serving as the Principal at Mount Elizabeth Middle/Secondary School and the reputation she has developed as a respected educatorand leaderand highly competent team player will continue to complement Geraldine in her new role.

Geraldine is passionate about education, innovation, learning success and inclusivity for all students, including those from diverse and rich cultural backgrounds. She brings great insight, leadership and a strong commitment in her new role to makea positive difference for all students within Coast Mountains School District.

The school district is most fortunate to have an individual of Geraldine's calibreassuming this role and joining the District Leadership Team.
