Effective on June 21, 2019 the transfer of ownership of the previous high school and elementary school on Central Avenue in Fort Erie between the District School Board of Niagara, the Town of Fort Erie, and the Fort Erie International Academy (FEIA) was complete. FEIA is excited to announce that it is the new owner of these buildings and property!
This is very exciting news not only for FEIA, but also for Fort Erie and the Niagara Region as this means that FEIA can begin the first stage of renovations to the elementary school in preparation to open for September 9, 2019 for grades seven to twelve. FEIA welcomes students and families to a unique educational opportunity, while providing economic development for Fort Erie and the Niagara Region, through job opportunities to the area in teaching, administrative, trade industries for renovations and the building of FEIA's new campus facilities which have been presented to the Town of Fort Erie Council.
FEIA is a private school with a clear mission, to inspire and empower students to realize their academic potential, to become agents of change, innovators and leaders on a global scale. FEIA will attract international and local students with a focus on an "East meets West" perspective. This perspective will provide students with a global appreciation and understanding that will be applied not only in their studies at FEIA, but also once they enter University and eventually the job market. Fort Erie International Academy is a private school located in Fort Erie Ontario, that will offer all courses in English and will follow the Ontario Curriculum. Currently FEIA is in the process of becoming an accredited Ontario school with the ability to grant the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). FEIA is looking forward to welcoming students from all corners of the globe as well as local students.
