Connie Boros works with students, teachers and the TR Leger School of Adult, Alternative and Continuing Education in her role as the UCDSB's Technology Enabled Learning & Teaching Contact (TeLTC). Her technical skills, determination and personal characteristics make Connie a very valuable team player.
During a typical workday, Connie is often contacted by colleagues with technical or online course issues in need of immediate help. Connie always responds in the same way - with genuine care and concern, quick action, an immediate solution and a standing offer to be there to help and support. She makes sure to offer a friendly and supportive "how are you doing?" or "hope everything is going well" message. She inspires others around her to be equally positive and conduct their day-to-day communication with a sense of thoughtful togetherness and happiness.
In March 2020, during the provincially mandated school closures, Connie stepped up and led a team of 10 to assist in creating online courses and resource material for the UCDSB. This enormous undertaking and emergency-style response was essential in order to fully support our students, teachers and district. Following this long tedious work, Connie trained and supported teachers remotely. She continued to conduct remote training and support throughout the spring, summer and fall.
Connie continues to share her exceptional knowledge of online resources, Brightspace and MS Teams with all students and staff. She supports individuals with her expertise and models this approach through her work habits. Connie empowers others to be continually positive, to explore and learn independently, and to share with other colleagues and students.
