Team Canada Men's Soccer Team Forward Jayden Nelson Launches Copeland Public School Snack Program

May 16, 2022

On Monday, April 25, 2022, Team Canada Men's Soccer Team Forward Jayden Nelson visited Copeland Public School in Brampton, Ontario to make an initial $1,000 donation and launch a snack program for students.

Nelson's donations will support students in need, promote healthy habits, and allow Copeland Public School students to remain active, engaged and prepared to learn for the day.

"The entire Copeland staff and community congratulates Jayden on his personal and athletic accomplishments on a national and world level," said Copeland Public School principal Leanne Rathbone. "We are very proud of Jayden's generosity, and compassion for others and hope his actions inspire others to give back."

A Brampton native, Nelson has fond memories of being a student at Copeland Public School and considers it his favorite school. A role model for many children, his snack program at Copeland Public School continues his goal of assisting young children in need.

Nelson has also pledged to support the snack program with monthly donations for the 2022-2023 school year.
