At the June 1, 2022 Halton District School Board meeting, the new Associate Director and three new Superintendent appointments were announced for the senior administrative team. All appointments begin Aug. 1, 2022.
Current HDSB Superintendent Tina Salmini has been appointed to the role of Associate Director where she will lead and oversee the operations of schools, research, system-wide initiatives and support the senior team.
Nick Frankovich, Jennie Petko and Jonathan Shoss are the successful candidates in the Superintendent hiring process that took place in May. These four appointments will fill vacancies created by the promotion of Tina Salmini and the announced retirements of Associate Director David Boag and Superintendents Terri Blackwell and Gord Truffen.
"The retirement of David, Terri and Gord will be felt across the organization as these three exemplary leaders provided tremendous expertise in their student-centred approach to supporting students and fellow staff members," says Curtis Ennis, Director of Education for the HDSB. "Their experience, guidance and friendship will be missed by all members of the senior team, as well as the many staff and students of the HDSB. We extend our heartfelt congratulations on their exemplary careers and wish David, Terri and Gord all the best on their next adventures."
