A beautiful new outdoor gathering place is now being used to support Surge Narrows students and community members after the official opening ceremony for the Surge Narrows Community Pavilion on September 9.

Built right beside the school, the pavilion supports outdoor learning for Surge Narrows students and offers a dry place for community members to safely gather outdoors. The pavilion took two years to build from concept and design through to construction.
The Board of Education approved construction for the outdoor meeting pavilion at Surge Narrows school after the Surge Narrows Community Association secured grant funding of $39,600 through the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative.
