Recently named one of Canada's Top 50 Research Colleges for the ninth time, Durham College also ranked:
- No. 1 among medium-sized colleges in the percentage of social science funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada over a three-year period
- No. 2 among medium-sized colleges for the number of paid student researchers
