The University of Winnipeg's Professional, Applied, and Continuing Education (PACE) is pleased to announce the results of its recent graduate survey, conducted by Prairie Research Associates (PRA) Inc. The survey, which gathered data from graduates between 2018 and 2022, highlights the program's success in fostering a diverse, well-prepared, and highly employable workforce that significantly contributes to the local economy.
Key survey findings:
- High graduate satisfaction: An impressive 94% of PACE graduates rated their satisfaction with the program as either satisfied or highly satisfied.
- Strong employability: PACE graduates demonstrate strong employability, with 92% employed and 88% securing full-time positions. This underscores the program's effectiveness in preparing students for the job market.
- Significant contributions to local workforce: A notable 82.5% of PACE alumni choose to reside in Manitoba post-graduation, contributing to the local workforce and community.
- Pathway to immigration: The survey data reveals that the number of international students obtaining permanent residency significantly increases post-graduation, from 14% at the time of admission to 51% after completing the program.
Diverse and inclusive student community
PACE prides itself on its diverse and inclusive learning environment, with 80% of its student population coming from 59 different countries.
Graduate demographics
The typical PACE student is 36.1 years old at the time of admission, with an average of 9 years of work experience. This mature and experienced student base enriches the learning environment and enhances peer-to-peer learning.
Competitive salaries
PACE graduates report an average salary of $66,677, reflecting the high value of the education and training provided by the program.
