The Maamwizing Indigenous Research Institute (Maamwizing) will host the fourth bi-annual Maamwizing Conference focused on community-driven research by, for, and with Indigenous Peoples. Keynote speakers include Dr. Kathy Absolon and Dr. Amy Shawanda. Dr. Absolon is from Flying Post First Nation and is an Associate Professor at Wilfrid Laurier University, who will present "The Pause in Indigenous Research: Building Courage to Re-think and Look Again". Dr. Amy Shawanda is from Wikwemikong Unceded Territory and is an Assistant Professor at McGill University, who will present "Paddling Upstream: An Anishinaabekwe Journey Towards Ethical Frameworks in Indigenous Research".
