UPEI's Spencer McGregor wins silver and bronze in fencing

UPEI Fencing Club member Spencer McGregor had a successful weekend at the UNB Shield tournament in Fredericton, March 12-13. Spencer won a bronze medal in Senior Mixed Épée and captured a silver medal in University Épée. Tournament organizers stated that this year's Shield was the largest ever, with 94 registrations total across eleven events. This was the first time that the annual tournament included university events as part of the Atlantic University Fencing Circuit, which began in 2015 to encourage competition among university fencers.
