Brock University's Goodman School of Business has ranked first among excellent' Canadian business schools.

For the second year in a row, global rating agency Eduniversal has ranked the Goodman School of Business first among their 3 Palmes of Excellence league, which recognizes excellent business schools with reinforcing international influence.

Eduniversal annually identifies and ranks the best 1,000 business schools in 154 countries. Selection is reviewed annually under the guidance of the Eduniversal International Scientific Committee, using qualitative and quantitative data.

Schools are divided into five classification levels called Palmes of Excellence' according to internationalization criteria created by the committee, such as accreditations, major rankings, and memberships in academic or professional associations or partnerships. Schools are then separated by country and ranked within each palme level according to assessments made by the deans of the 999 other selected business schools.

For the past four years, Goodman has been within the 3 Palmes of Excellence league, steadily increasing its ranking from sixth place in 2017, to second in 2018 and back-to-back firsts in 2019 and 2020.

Goodman's recommendation by deans from around the world increased to 161 per cent this year, up from 123 per cent last year, 97 per cent in 2018 and 89 per cent in 2017.

"The significant jump in dean's recommendations illustrates Goodman's growing international reputation for offering excellence in business education," said Goodman Dean Andrew Gaudes. "Eduniversal's first-place ranking, coupled with the recent 2021 QS Global MBA Rankings placing our Goodman MBA program first in Canada for class and faculty diversity, may be attributed to our School's mission to be a globally oriented and community dedicated business school with a diverse and inclusive community."
