The University of Regina is the first Saskatchewan post-secondary institute to join MyCredsTM | MesCertifTM, a digital credential wallet developed by the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada.
Effective immediately all current and former University of Regina students can access and share their transcripts digitally. Spring 2021 graduates will have their digitized credentials available upon graduation in June. Other official documents will be phased in over time.

"MyCredsTM | MesCertifTM modernizes and brings efficiencies and convenience to students from what, until now, has been a paper-based process," said James D'Arcy, University of Regina Registrar. "Students and recent graduates are able to send their official, digitized transcripts and other documents electronically anywhere and anytime to whomever they want."
MyCreds | MesCertif will eliminate the time in processing document requests, the cost and time frame in mailing or couriering documents, and the potential of lost documents. All student data will remain under the control of the U of R and the information can only be accessed by the U of R, the student, and whomever they share their documents with.
"The University of Regina is excited to be able to support our students by providing them with control over their own credentials and documents that are secure, tamper evident and legally valid," said D'Arcy. "All documents will be available in one secure location that students can access and share seamlessly any time of the day or week.
"The U of R recognizes the value provided to our graduates in the issuance of a paper parchment and we will continue this practice with the added benefits of a digital credential they may access free of charge."
Over the next three months, the Registrar's Office will be issuing free digital parchments for the academic years 2017/18, 2018/19, and 2020/21. Other official documents, such as confirmation of graduation, proof of enrolment and International Student offer of Admission, will also become available over the next few months.
All certified documents carry a digital signature that meets or exceeds all legal national and international standards. An authentic document will always have a blue symbol validating the document has not been tampered with eliminating the potential for credential fraud.
