WEST VANCOUVER
District challenges students to create video on theme of this year's contest, "Bins don't recycle. People do!"

February 20, 2019

The student video contest is back for its fourth year! West Vancouver students from kindergarten to Grade 12 are invited to create an original video for a chance to win the top prize of $750.

Students are challenged to create a 60 to 90-second video on the theme of this year's contest, Bins don't recycle. People do!

Students are asked to think about what happens to garbage and recycling once it has been placed in the bin, what happens when non-recyclables or garbage end up in the recycling and what role people play in recycling the right way.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, April 15, 2019. The winning videos will be selected by a panel of judges and announced in May 2019.

This year's contest is sponsored by Recycle BC.
