DISTRICT OF WEST VANCOUVER
Every Drop Counts The 2022 Student Video Contest is now open

February 23, 2022

The Student Video Contest is back! West Vancouver students in kindergarten to Grade 12 are invited to create an original video for a chance to win prize money! New this year, we will be awarding prizes to the top-10 video entries.

Students are challenged to create a 60 to 90-second video based on the theme of this year's contest Every Drop Counts.

We get a lot of rain in West Vancouver and it's easy to forget that our high-quality drinking water doesn't just fall from the sky. We want students to think about the source of our tap water and the importance of every-day actions in conserving it.

Videos can include easy water saving tips, information about where our water comes from, how water gets from the source to the tap, and why it is important to conserve water all year long.

Get creative and make a musical about your water meter, a horror about water waste, or a stop motion about ways to use less water.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, April 18, 2022.
