
Vanier College is pleased to announce that diver Nathan Zsombor-Murray is the recipient of a $4,000 bursary from the Beneva Bursary Program. This year, at the 14th edition of the Beneva Bursary Program, the Aléo Foundation and Beneva awarded a total of $82,000 to 23 student-athletes. Beneva, Canada's largest mutual insurance, has also committed to pursuing its partnership with Aléo in 2024 and 2025, with a contribution of $200,000.
Nathan Zsombor-Murray was among seven bursary recipients who took part in the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games in the summer of 2021. Subsequently, twenty-year old Nathan won a Silver Medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and a Bronze Medal at the 2022 World Championships.
Nathan is a student in Pure and Applied Science and would like to become an engineer. He also aims to participate in the World Championships this summer and qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
