Assiniboine College will host an upcoming intake of the Comprehensive Health Care Aide (CHCA) program in Steinbach, Manitoba. The full-time certificate program will begin in September 2025.
"We know the vital role that healthcare aides play in the healthcare system," said Della Mansoff, Academic Chair of CHCA programs at Assiniboine. "The CHCA program is designed to develop graduates who are not only technically skilled but also dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those they care for."
"The need for skilled healthcare aides is significant, and we believe this program will help meet that demand in the province while offering excellent career opportunities for individuals to explore." Mansoff added.
The college will host an information session for interested applicants on June 9th at 6 p.m. at Rest Haven Care Home in Steinbach, where Mansoff will be on site to answer questions about the program. Space is limited so we ask attendees to register at assiniboine.net/infosessions.
The CHCA program teaches graduates practical skills to care for patients and to communicate in a clinical setting, while also learning how to help patients with their well-being and managing their health care environment.
