Keyano College has expanded its Social Work Diploma Program, supported by a grant from the Government of Alberta as part of a $10 million investment to address the increasing demand for mental health professionals. The grant allows Keyano to add 30 seats over a period of time to its program, improving capacity and enhancing learning facilities, including additional lab spaces and strengthened practicum placements. This expansion will ensure students are better prepared to meet the needs of the Wood Buffalo community and the province at large. Keyano's leadership highlights the importance of the grant in equipping students with the skills necessary to address the real-world challenges of social work.
We invite you to watch an interview with Alexis Teske, Associate Dean of Human Services at the School of Health and Human Services, where she shares valuable insights on the program expansion and its impact on both students and the community. Watch the full interview below!
