On behalf of the Board of Governors and NAIT community, we are deeply saddened to share the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Priti Laderoute. In honouring her memory, we share this news with the same respect she always showed others.
Priti served as a public member of NAIT's board from May 30, 2018 to May 28, 2024. During her tenure, she was a proud member of the Audit, Finance, Governance and Foundation committees. In each role, Priti brought extraordinary vision, diligence, and a collaborative spirit that strengthened our governance and strategic direction.

Throughout her six years on the board, Priti was a tireless champion for students. She also forged lasting relationships with industry leaders and community partners. She lent her time and energy to countless community outreach initiatives, always showcasing that NAIT's success is measured by the positive impact we have on those we serve. Priti lived by our core value of celebration, as she made sure we paused to recognize successes and to show appreciation.
After completing her term on the board, Priti continued to volunteer her time and expertise as chair of GO Productivity. As chair, she guided efforts to drive innovation, improve productivity, and build a skilled workforce.
Priti's insight, compassion, and leadership inspired us all. She leaves behind a legacy of meaningful change, stronger partnerships, and countless colleagues whose lives she touched. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to her family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
We will honour Priti's memory by carrying forward the ideals she championed excellence in polytechnic education, partnerships with industry, dedicated service to our community, and celebration of achievements. Priti Laderoute's impact will continue to shape NAIT for years to come.
