FORT MCMURRAY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
FMPSD Staff and Students Recognized at 2024 Buffy Awards

October 30, 2024

The Art Council of Wood Buffalo's 2024 Buffy Awards, which recognize outstanding achievement in the arts, took place last weekend to highlight local artists and contributors, including various FMPSD staff and student award nominees. The Buffy Awards, which have been running since 2008, celebrate excellence in various artistic fields, including visual arts, performing arts, music, and literature. The awards recognize the significant contributions of artists, cultural organizations, and community members who have positively impacted the arts and culture scene in Wood Buffalo.

Fort McMurray Public School Division (FMPSD) is proud to promote the value and importance of the arts in our community by highlighting staff and student Buffy 2024 award nominees and recipients. By fostering creativity, imagination, and critical thinking, the arts contribute to developing well-rounded and engaged citizens equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
