Peace Wapiti Public School Division is extremely grateful to the Iceberg Hockey Tournament and its organizers for their generous donation to the Division's mental health resources.

The Iceberg Tournament, founded in 2017, aims to raise funds for and awareness of children's mental health. The organization's website says, "All tournament proceeds provide direct funding for mental health assessments. This has allowed children to receive ed-psych evaluations much faster than the typical wait time, which can be years, as well as help with the cost which can be as high as $2,500 for one evaluation." To date, the Iceberg Hockey Tournament has raised over $50,000 for children's mental health.

This year's tournament, held in early April, provided four days of exciting hockey. In support of children's mental health, 13 teams of players aged 13 and 14 from Grande Prairie, Sexsmith, Spirit River, Wembley, Fort St. John, Fort Nelson, Edson, Whitecourt, Edmonton, and Thorhild participated in the fun competition.
