The Board of Trustees in pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Moltzahn as our next Associate Superintendent, Human Resources, a key leadership role in Red Deer Public Schools.

Rob replaces Brian Bieber who is retiring after being in the role for the last nine years.
Rob has enjoyed a very successful career with Red Deer Public Schools since 2005, when he joined the staff of Gateway Christian School as a Vice-Principal. In 2011, Rob was appointed as Principal at Gateway and since 2016 has been the District Principal responsible a variety of administrative projects and areas including Student Transportation, Attendance Matters, Facility Bookings and several Facilities projects.
Moltzahn looks forward to the new opportunity. "Our success as a district is based on our dedicated and caring staff--they really make a difference in the lives of the students and families we serve. Our staff are deeply committed to the valuable and important work each of them do each day, from teachers and educational assistants in our classroom to administrators and secretaries across the district as well as our facilities staff who take great care of our schools and facilities."
Prior to his time in Red Deer Public, Rob served as a Vice-Principal at Fox Run School and River Glen School in Chinook's Edge School Division. His 20 years of administrative experience will serve him well in his new role.
Rob earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta and completed a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University.
Rob has been an informal leader among our school based administration group and is frequently sought out for advice by colleagues. His interests outside of work include family activities, sports, and community service.
