FRONTIER SCHOOL DIVISION
Jackie Connell Recognized at 2019 Guiding the Journey: Indigenous Educator Awards

December 10, 2019

We are proud to announce that on Thursday, November 21, our very own Jacqueline Connell, Assistant Superintendent for Senior Years and Career Studies, was recognized for Community Service at the 2019 Guiding the Journey: Indigenous Educator Awards!

The 2019 Guiding the Journey: Indigenous Educator Awards are presented by Indspire, a national Indigenous organization that invests in the education of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples by connecting educations of K-12 Indigenous students with programs, resources, and a professional learning community to improve educational outcomes, increase high school completion rates, and support sustained systemic change.

Honourees are outstanding educators who are leaders in their fields. They implement innovative and impactful teaching practices and advocate for resources and culturally-based curricula.

Thank you for all of your hard work and congratulations on this well-deserved award, Jackie. We are all so proud to celebrate this achievement that speaks to your impact on our students and Indigenous education in our Division!
