On February 14, 2022, the Chinook Board of Education accepted the resignation of Shane Andrus, Trustee for Subdivision 1, due to the physical relocation of his residency. In his letter addressed to the Board, Dr. Andrus stated, "It has been my honor to serve as Trustee of Ward 1 for approximately nine years. Due to my physical relocation of residency, it is necessary to end my time as Trustee, with regret. Truly, I thank the many wonderful people for the fantastic memories I leave with. While we have faced challenges, we can celebrate significant positives which have occurred."
Dr. Andrus represented public and hutterian schools in and around the communities of Burstall, Fox Valley and Leader as a school board trustee for nearly ten years. His dedication to the communities and passion for serving his constituents is admirable. We wish Dr. Andrus all the best and thank him for his service to the students, staff and families of Chinook School Division.
