CONSEIL SCOLAIRE PUBLIC DU NORD-EST DE L'ONTARIO
New CSPNE acquisition in Hearst

April 4, 2023

The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario (CSPNE) announces that it has completed the acquisition of a new property in Hearst to expand the grounds of  École publique Passeport Jeunesse.

After several months of administrative and ministerial work, the CSPNE finalized the purchase of the building and land located at 80, 8e Rue on February 18, 2023.

The addition of this property is important to the planning process of the expansion projects at École publique Passeport Jeunesse in order to better serve the French public school community of Hearst. Passeport Jeunesse serves students from kindergarten to Grade 12.

The CSPNE became the owner of the Place des Arts de Hearst on November 15, 2019.

In accordance with universal values, the CSPNE covers an area of 46,453 km2 and provides the communities of Hearst, Kapuskasing, Iroquois Falls, Timmins, Temiskaming Shores, Sturgeon Falls, North Bay and Parry Sound with quality French-language education. Close to 2,100 northeastern Ontario students have chosen French-language public schools.
