Official Inauguration of the New Dek Hockey Platform at A.S. Johnson Memorial and St-Patrick

On Wednesday, November 5, the school proudly unveiled its brand-new Dek Hockey surface during a special ceremony attended by distinguished guests:

• Mr. Marc-Alexandre Brousseau, Mayor of the City of Thetford Mines
• Ms. Natasha Bédard, political attaché representing the MNA for Lotbinière-Frontenac
• Mr. Jean Robert, Chair of the Council of Commissioners
• Mr. Stéphane Lagacé, Director General
• Ms. Nancy L'Heureux, Assistant Director General
• Mr. Peter Withcomb, Chairman of the School Foundation

School Principal Ms. Ann-Marie Campbell shared her pride in the project, which would not have come to life without the incredible dedication and hard work of Physical Education teacher Mr. André Martineau.

After the traditional ribbon cutting and plaque unveiling, students and staff gathered for the first official face-off, followed by a friendly match between students and staff with the Director General himself joining in for the opening game!

A memorable moment for our school community, marking the beginning of many exciting games and shared experiences!
