The ministère de l'Éducation du Québec (MEQ) has just published its report containing the latest statistics regarding graduation and qualification rate per School Board/School Service Centre in the province of Québec. It is with great pride and enthusiasm that we inform you that the Central Québec School Board has continued its steady progression of the past few years and ranks 1st all sectors combined, out of the 72 School Boards/School Service Centres in Québec.
Our graduation and qualification rate for the 2013 cohort, over a period of 7 years, is 94.2%!
The graduation and qualification rate by cohort presented in the MEQ' report is the proportion of students who, before the age of 20, obtained a first diploma or qualification over seven years after their beginnings in the General Education-Youth Sector. The diploma or the qualification may have been obtained via Adult Education or Vocational Training.
To calculate the graduation and qualification rate by cohort, a cohort of students who enrolled for the first time in Secondary 1 at the beginning of the observation period, is followed for seven years. The rate is calculated after five, six and seven years.
