Vanier College is pleased to announce the appointment of Morgane Paquet to the Board of Directors. Morgane, a student in the Special Education Techniques program at Vanier College, will undoubtedly make a valuable contribution and the Board looks forward to working with her.
"I am deeply passionate about engaging with my community, whether through my role in the VCSA, contributing to The Insider Student Newspaper, or volunteering in my spare time. I believe strongly in advocating for social justice. For instance, in high school, I led an initiative against bullying and discrimination, and throughout my time with the newspaper, I have published articles on social issues that matter to me. I also enjoy getting involved in various committees at Vanier, such as the Academic Council, the Academic Space Committee, and the Teaching Excellence Award Committee. These experiences have only strengthened my passion for leadership and community engagement. I am eager to join the Board of Directors, as I see it as a unique opportunity to create positive change for the Vanier community. I hope to bring a fresh perspective to the Board and contribute to meaningful conversations. This position would be a significant learning experience, one that I will carry with me for the rest of my life."
The Board of Directors is the governing body of the College and is composed of nineteen members who serve on a voluntary basis and represent industry, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, parents and students. The Board of Directors meets approximately seven times per academic year and oversees certain college operations, establishes major college policies, and develops academic and related plans.
