The Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDSB) is pleased to announce that Sandra Turco has been re-elected as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, and John Bruno has been acclaimed as Vice-Chairperson for the 2025 term.
At the heart of the Board's mission is a commitment to nurturing a faith-filled environment where every student can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. The leadership team shares this vision, bringing a collaborative approach to advancing HSCDSB's priorities of student success, well-being, and equity.
"I am honoured to continue serving as Chairperson and grateful for the trust and support of my fellow Trustees," said Sandra Turco. "Together, we remain focused on ensuring that every decision we make supports the success and well-being of the students we serve. I look forward to continuing this important work guided by faith and a shared commitment to Catholic education."
John Bruno, as Vice-Chairperson, echoed these sentiments: "It is a privilege to continue in this role and to work alongside such a dedicated team of Trustees. Our Catholic schools are communities of faith and learning, and I am committed to supporting every student in reaching their fullest potential."
The HSCDSB Board of Trustees is guided by four key strategic directions: student success and well-being, engagement with employees and partners, nurturing Catholic faith, and equitable stewardship of resources. The Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson play a crucial role in supporting these goals and leading initiatives that promote academic excellence, faith formation, and community engagement.
"I extend my sincere congratulations to our Chairperson Sandra Turco and Vice-Chairperson John Bruno," said Fil Lettieri, Director of Education. "Their continued leadership and dedication to our students and staff are deeply valued. I am confident that, together with our Trustees and Student Trustees, we will continue to strengthen our Catholic school system and provide exceptional learning experiences for all."
