Bluewater District School Board's leadership remains unchanged following annual trustee elections.
At the Initial Meeting of the Board on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Trustees Jane Thomson and Jan Johnstone were each acclaimed to their respective positions of Chair and Vice-Chair.
This is the sixth consecutive one-year term for both Chair Thomson and Vice-Chair Johnstone. Thomson represents the Town of South Bruce Peninsula and Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula, while Johnstone's area of representation includes the Municipality of Kincardine and Township of Huron-Kinloss.
Chair Thomson and Vice-Chair Johnstone are congratulated on their return to the executive roles in which they have faithfully served over the past several years. Their steady leadership and depth of experience continue to guide the Board of Trustees in upholding the board's mission of providing a quality educational experience for every student in a safe and inclusive environment.
Vice-Chair Johnstone also continues to represent Bluewater at the provincial level through her longstanding involvement with the Ontario Public School Boards' Association, where she was elected as First Vice-President this past June.
