At the Special Board Meeting held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) approved the 2025-2026 Budget Estimates in the amount of $533,963,093.
The approved budget highlights the Board's commitment to both fiscal responsibility and student success. Even as the lowest funded school board per student in the province, HCDSB has delivered a compliant, balanced budget that meets the needs of our schools.
"As Trustees, we take our responsibility as stewards of Catholic education seriously," said Marvin Duarte, Chair of the Board. "We are proud to approve a balanced budget that supports the needs of our students and staff, while remaining fiscally responsible and aligned with our shared values."
"I want to begin by thanking our Chief Financial Officer and the entire finance team for their exceptional work in preparing this year's budget," said John Klein, Director of Education. "This budget reflects a thoughtful approach to planning and a deep commitment to student success. It aligns with our Multi-Year Strategic Plan and ensures that our priorities rooted in faith, equity, and excellence are supported through every dollar we spend. I also want to acknowledge the contributions of our staff, families, and community partners who help bring our shared vision to life in our schools each day."
