A few months ago, we invited parents and caregivers to provide feedback regarding which communication channels from their child's school and the district worked best for them. We received almost 1,100 responses.
- Email is the preferred communication channel for the majority of families, for both urgent and non-urgent information from their child's school and the district.
- School/Principal's newsletters are valued, especially for information on upcoming events and activities.
- The school and district websites are not a main source of information for families.
- Social media is not relied on as a communications channel
