This semester, students enrolled in Algoma University's Management of Small Enterprise course partnered with the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre (BEC) to gain experiential, hands-on experience supporting local businesses in Brampton.

As part of the final project in Professor Shahrukh Asif Khan's course, students worked directly with local entrepreneurs, contributing innovative ideas, digital solutions, and strategic insights. Through these collaborations, students gained invaluable real-world experience by applying key concepts from their coursework, including business planning, finance, marketing, and operations, to support the growth and development of local start-ups.

"At the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre, we've seen firsthand how our partnership with Algoma University is transforming the way small businesses grow," shared Daniel Bishun, Business Advisor, Brampton Entrepreneur Centre. The partnership between Algoma University and the BEC exemplifies the power of experiential learning and community collaboration. As the semester concludes, students complete the course equipped not only with academic knowledge, but also with the confidence and practical skills needed to thrive in today's dynamic business landscape.
