A team from Ranchero Elementary also claimed wrestling hardware from the B.C. Secondary School Okanagan Zone Championships at Kelowna Secondary School on February 11th!
"I was very happy with the team's efforts and our results," commented teacher and wrestling coach Duane Kroeker.
Kroeker took 15 young wrestlers to the regionals.
Although we don't have full results, at the Grade 8 level Kynan Dicker, Sam Muddiman and Maya Dawson all collected golds.
Kroeker has a wrestling team of 25 students at the school, including students in grades 4 through to 8. He said he has been coaching wrestling for over 20 years and is glad to be able to share his wrestling experience at Ranchero.
